The X-Files South Carolina Style

South Carolina is the gift which keeps on giving. I mean I don’t think I have ever had more fun following another state’s election. It has gotten so good it is the first thing I search for any time I have a few extra minutes on the internet. First, Alvin Greene wins the Democratic primary by taking a good old fashion paddle to Vic Rawls. Greene did not one ounce of campaigning. He walked in plopped down his $10,000 filing fee and walked away with a win.

After the stunning loss the Democrats went into an absolute conniption fit. It took them less than 24 hours to start spouting off conspiracy theories. Republican plant, voter fraud, Republican voters voting Democrat in the open primary. I think if they could have found away to blame it on George Bush they absolutely would have. To make matters worse it came out quickly that Alvin Greene is awaiting a trial on obscenity charges. I think I might have actually heard a few Democrats’ brains explode with that one.

Cue the X-File music because the truth is out there somewhere. Before we get to it I would like to take a minute to express my feelings on this, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. The Democrats in South Carolina are freaking hilarious. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying something might not be suspicious but I am thinking quite a few people need to get slapped with a truth fish.

You couldn’t muster a campaign to win your own nomination and now you are going to whine and cry. You’re going to try and bully the guy who won out. You are going to throw around fiction like you know it’s fact. Well, here is a fact for you, he got 59% of the vote. You can spew nonsense about Republicans throwing their votes away but Jim DeMint, the Republican incumbent, won with 85% of the 413,699 registered Republicans. Even more telling is the Democrats only had 191,336 voters. Mr. DeMint is a very popular candidate in a very Republican state. They didn’t have to throw their votes away because they are not in the least bit worried about who you run out there against them.

Hey, South Carolina Democrats get your shit together. I would be considered a liberal by any definition of the word. In my town I am a raging liberal. To some of my family members I am that guy we don’t talk about. Despite my credentials I feel no sympathy for your plight. You got your ass handed to you. Buck up it could be worse. Here in California we have a governor’s race which is shaping up to be the Wicked Witch of the West against The Tin Man. I may have to move to South Carolina and vote, at least it will be good for a chuckle.

    >wait, wait, wait….before you think that the Democrats are being sore losers, remember that this guy was recently charged with a crime and he asked for public defender. That means, he had to fill out a form on his financial state and assets, and since he was assigned a public defender it means he was found not to have enough money for a lawyer. Therefore, how did he have enough money for the $10,000 filing fee? PLUS, repubs have done the exact same thing before (and were convicted of it) in South Carolina. The Dems may not have a chance in hell, but they deserve a fair shot.Just sayin'/

    >Forget South Carolina and the governor's race. Your senator Barbara Boxer, thinks that the greatest national security threat to this country is carbon pollution. That this issue, above all others, is the one most on the minds of many returning veterans. Really? R-e-a-l-l-y?

    >I am not saying there isn't something fishy about the $10000. I just don't think it changes the fact he won. They want him to drop out because of the money totally ignoring the fact he won.Truthfully I think the money is a crock anyway. I don't think you should have to produce $10000 to run for Senate. They have turned politics into a rich person's sport.
